Approach anxiety is something that every guy has, some have more, some have less… That's the difference between pick up artists and "normal men": Pick up artists have learned how to control their approach anxiety and make it very minimal, while common guys let the fear take over them, so they don't even approach women. But why do we all have it?

I believe it's coded in our genes, from the times when we lived in small wild groups: the society had like 100 people, which probably 1 or 2 of them were girls of proper age and available to couple with. The others were old people, kids, men and women already engaged… so the options were very little, you had 1, maximum 2 girls that you could "date", you had to feel this "I can't screw up" feeling… if you did something wrong approaching these women, the rest of your life you would be condemned to stay alone. Hard times that was…

This is why our body developed this "safety feature" that made us think back before approaching women and risk being alone for our lifetimes… It's hard coded on us. The problem is times have changed, society is different and nowadays we have billions of women out there: your options are now practically endless… If you go out one night and get rejected by 50, you don't have to worry because there are like 1,000,000,000 more…

But we, men, haven't adapted to our "new life", deep inside of us we still think our options are limited, then what happens is your start getting nervous, ansious and freeze when you want to approach women. Pretty hard, huh?

I think that explains the reason we have approach anxiety… you have to learn how to beat it, because you probably will ever have it: it depends if you can control it or not.
